Warrior Rust Converter & Primer

DESCRIPTION:

Warrior Rust Converter & Primer neutralises and converts red rust on mild steel preventing further rusting. Warrior Rust Converter & Primer is suitable for interior and exterior use.

USES:

Warrior Rust Converter & Primer is for use on mild steel surfaces where it is difficult to completely remove rust. It is suitable for use any type of structural steel such as carports, gates, fences, weathered galvanised steel etc.

SPECIFICATION OR RECOMMENDED PAINT SYSTEM:

Surface Preparation:

Ensure surface to be coated is clean and dry, free from dust, oils and grease etc. Remove all loose and rust by

wire brushing, chipping or sanding. Remove any oil or grease with Warrior Degreasing Liquid.

Application:

Apply one full coat of Warrior Rust Converter & Primer preferably by brush, ensuring that the product is thoroughly worked into the rusted area. Prior to overcoating with water based paints, a primer coat of Warrior Universal Undercoat should be applied and allowed to dry for 16 hours to prevent staining of the topcoat. Alkyd enamel paints can be applied directly onto Warrior Rust Converter & Primer. For additional corrosion protection a primer coat of Warrior Metal Etch Primer is recommended prior to application of topcoat.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

  1. Caution: Product is acidic. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
  2. Do not pour any unused product back into container.
  3. It is impor­tant that this product be thoroughly mixed with a flat paddle before use.
  4. As per standard painting practices, no painting should take place if temperatures are below 10⁰C above 30⁰C or after 3pm and when rain is imminent. Painting should preferably take place out of direct sunlight.
